πŸ“£ The Webinar Is Not The Point

Recently, I was listening to a Bean Ninja podcast with Anfernee Chansamooth and Nathan Barry from ConverterKit.

Nathan was discussing the growth of ConverterKit (among other things)

Part of their growth strategy is running webinars, namely, partner webinars.

One of the ways that they really exponentially increased their MRR is by partnering with others and running partner webinars. As he was speaking, he mentioned that β€œthe partner webinars have been really good and we’ve done hundreds and hundreds of partner webinars and they are still a key part of our strategy...” A key reason for this is a webinar created an event, and gave a gave their partners a reason to connect and reconnect with their database.

That statement, once again reminded me that the webinar is actually not the point.

So, if you are running webinars in your business (or wanting to) stop focusing on the webinar itself and open your mind to the opportunities running a webinar can present.

5 ways to use your webinar as a marketing campaign to promote your personal brand and business.

πŸ’‘ Position yourself as an expert

Running a webinar will automatically position you as an expert, it's going to bring awareness and it's going to increase your positioning in the marketplace.

πŸ’‘ Partner with others

Have a think about who you've got in your network, who has the same clients as you - who could help to educate the clients. And think about partnering with that person or with that organization to run a partner webinar.

πŸ’‘ Connect with database

Running this partner webinar will give you an opportunity to connect with your database. It's going to give you an opportunity to increase your database. It's going to give you an opportunity to give value to both your clients and the partner's clients.

πŸ’‘ Build Awareness/Collateral

Running a webinar is going to give you an opportunity to post about your webinar, to talk about the topics in your webinar, to email again your database about this webinar. To create images, to create images of yourself, of the webinar, of the speakers, and really be able to increase your brand awareness and get more out there in the marketplace to bring awareness to you, your brand and your business.

πŸ’‘ Create Your Content

If we're strategic about it and we record our webinar and we record the content, we've got the presentation, we've got the video, we've got the voice, the verbal that was spoken, it really gives us an opportunity to repurpose the content, recreate for our webinar into blogs, into articles, into social media posts, into videos, gives you so much opportunity to create content.

Think about building a network you could partner with in order to run a webinar and then be able to deliver value to twice as many prospects and more clients.
