đź“Ł Why You ARE The Best Person To Share Your Content
Not only are you the best person to share your content, but you are the ONLY person who can share your content.
I’m sure you, like everyone else, experience the dreaded Imposter Syndrome!
Next time you experience this, here are a few tips to help you flip your thinking.
Your story is unique to you
Nobody else out there has the same set of experiences, the same set of stories, the same set of expertise as what you do. Your life experience has brought you to where you are today, and that makes your story completely unique to you.
You are NOT unique
We've been told that we are all an individual and yes, we are all individuals, but you are not unique. There are people out there who are where you were a year ago, two years ago, 10 years ago, those people need your support. Those people are following the same path that you've already gone down. And those people need you to be able to get out there, to get past your imposter syndrome-ness and show them the way.
Just ask Google
For those that need more legitimate information or more legitimate facts, Just Ask Google. Try typing into Google your topic, you'll see there that other people who have searched your topic in the past. You can scroll down the search results and you'll also be able to see what others have searched for, and what other questions people have asked. This will not only prove that your topic and your expertise are needed but it will also help you to gather information about how people are asking those questions. This enables you to answer them in the best possible way and to have the best possible resonance for your content once you get it out there.
You are the expert
You have spent the last, however many years, building your expertise. Nobody else has had the same experience as you. Today, there is soooo much free information available that people aren’t looking for information, they are looking for experts. People who are the experts in their field, who are researching information, who are collating that information, who are bringing that information together and sharing their expertise.
You are that expert in your field, on your topic. Because you are that expert, you can prepare your content in a way that is palatable, in bite-size chunks directly for your audience. Don't forget that. And don't discount that.
Voice your demons
When your dreaded imposter syndrome comes up, say, out loud what it is that you are afraid of because imposter syndrome is caused by fears. Those fears might be the fear that “nobody will listen to me.” or “nobody cares about what I've got to say.” The moment you state your fear out loud, you then realize that they’re not true.
And if stating it out loud to yourself doesn’t shift the fear, phone a friend. Sometimes you need some support. Find a friend and let them know that right now you’re experiencing some fears and feelings of imposter syndrome. Let your friend know some of the demons or some of the fears that are getting in the way.
Remember, they are getting in the way of you making a difference in people's lives.
Conclusion
Now is the time for you to shine. There are people out there right now who need to hear what you have to share, need your products, need your services, need to hear your message.
Don’t let imposter syndrome get in the way of making a difference.
