📣 How To Get The Most Use Out Of Eventbrite
Eventbrite is a “free” event ticketing platform that packs a punch!
If you are using Eventbrite (or similar, Humanitix is a great Australian alternative), you should squeeze the most juice from it.
Here are my top tips on how to get the most use out of Eventbrite
Ticketing
Obviously, this is a ticketing platform. So you can use this as your option to register your attendees either through a paid ticket or a free ticket.
Integrations
These are integrations with things like Zoom, which Eventbrite can directly integrate with. It can even create your Zoom meeting or webinar for you. It can integrate with Facebook as well, which means it can create your Facebook event for you. Integrating these platforms really makes it easy to seamlessly register people and have those people automatically registered on Facebook, buy their tickets, and get an invitation for your Zoom meeting or your Zoom event.
Invitations
So now that you've created your event, and you’ve done your integration with Facebook and your Zoom. You are now able to invite people directly from Eventbrite. You have the option to invite people from your previous events and you can import a contact list and then send them an invitation directly out of Eventbrite. It tends to even have a higher open rate sometimes. And it is very easy because all the people need to do is click attend and it will automatically give them their ticket.
Nurturing
After integration and invitation, it’s time to nurture those who have decided to come along. Eventbrite automatically sets up reminder emails. You can update those reminder emails and add more so you can nurture your potential attendees to come along and really build that sense of anticipation. I was actually speaking to a prospect and a friend of mine and he called me to say that he loved the building of anticipation as we were heading closer to the event. And a big part of that was anticipation via email using Eventbrite’s nurturing feature.
Database
When people register, Eventbrite or the ticketing platform you are using tracks those registrations. You can export those out and put them directly into your database, or you can directly integrate it with your MailChimp or your database CRM or email marketing platform and grow your database through your registrations.
Check-In
Eventbrite comes with an organizer app where you are actually able to check in their attendance, just by swiping, across those people that actually showed up. So they're registered, they're in the list of attendees and then you can literally just swipe across and check-in those people. This check-in function is phenomenal.
Tracking
Eventbrite can actually track where people have come from. You can track from where the views for the event by page have come from, whether that is through social media or whether that is from your website. You can implement a Facebook pixel so that you're able to track your audience across multiple platforms, and you can even attract your conversions. So you can see where your best marketing efforts can be best worth your time be spent, and your best marketing efforts by seeing and tracking where the conversion for Eventbrite has come from.
Conclusion
Remember, great tech is developed with the user in mind. Eventbrite (and Humanitix) have done a great job of understanding what we need to run a successful event. Let;’s learn to use their technology to the fullest. This will create a great experience for you, for your attendees and support great tech to continue to support us.
