đź“Ł How to ensure a sense of success

Have you ever run a webinar and thought, “that was great, but did we really succeed?”

If you are a coach, an author, a speaker, a podcaster, a startup founder, then you'd understand the value of planning and tracking. But when it comes to our webinars, do you ask these questions: “What do we actually plan?” or “What do we track?” or “How do we plan?” And then “What do we track?”

To support people who are running successful webinars, I've created a free downloadable guide: Pre-Webinar Success Audit specifically to support you to be able to plan, track, see the results and feel that success.

However, what is exactly inside a pre-webinar success audit?

The pre-webinar success audit is separated into 4 Sections - Purpose (webinar purpose), Goals (webinar goals), Critical Drivers (webinar critical drivers), and KPI’s.

Webinar Purpose

What is the purpose of the webinar for you in your business?

The purpose of a webinar could be to increase our database, to raise awareness, to position ourselves as an authority, to sell products and services. It could also be just to practice delivering a webinar.

But whatever that purpose is, we need to start with the purpose of this webinar for our business.

Webinar Goals

Webinar goals must reflect our webinar purpose.

This could be: how many tickets we want to sell, having new leads in our database, how many mentions we want to have on social media, position ourselves as an authority, etc.

And these are trackable goals, they need to be SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) and so, must have numbers against them.

Webinar Critical Drivers

Webinar critical drivers are what's going to help us achieve those goals.

This is all about our sales and our marketing. Here we identify how many social media posts we aim to share monthly, how many emails we aim to send out monthly, how many prospects we aim to invite how many phone calls we're looking to make, how many messages and SMS' we're aiming to send.

The whole purpose of these critical drivers is to start to create actionable tasks for us to be able to achieve our goals.

Webinar KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)

This is around what it is that we need to track in order to be able to see the success of our webinar.

Know your key performance indicators for this upcoming webinar. Like how many people attended, how many social media posts were posted from the event, how many product sales we are going to sell at this upcoming webinar etc. These KPIs, must reflect what it is we're looking to achieve in our goals and the overall purpose of the webinar.

Conclusion

Now, remember, this is an audit.

This means it should be filled out before our webinar, with our aims; what we're aiming to achieve or to do. This will help us see what our aims are for our goals, our critical drivers, and our KPI’s. Once the webinar is complete, we fill out the “actuals” what did we actually do? This audit will be your gauge after the event to see if you did achieve your goals or not.

If goals have been achieved, that's wonderful. It means you’ve succeeded. And it means that you now have a blueprint for your webinar sales and marketing including your KPIs moving forward until such time that you change our purpose and change your goals.

If we didn't achieve our goals, well that means that we've got a starting point to start to build from. We can review whether we actually did what we said we're going to do. And if we did, well how can we tweak that? Or potentially we didn't do what we said we were going to do, and therefore we can review for next time.
